A 50-minute drive north along the N7, is all it takes for you to be whisked from the Cape Town city centre to the skydiving drop zone in South Africa’s tourism capital, boasting one of the best views in the world from altitude.
On the way up in the aircraft to your tandem skydive, the view is breathtaking. To the south, the city bowl lies sandwiched between towering Table Mountain and bustling Table Bay harbour. Further south, and to the far side of the mountain, lies False Bay, Hout Bay and the splendour of the south peninsula as far as Cape Point. To the west, you will spot Robben Island and the Atlantic Ocean breaking on the beautiful Cape West Coast, as famous for its icy water temperature as it’s mouth-watering crayfish. To the north, the Langebaan lagoon, a great kitesurfing and windsurfing venue.

Skydive Cape Town is affiliated to, and adheres to the guidelines as set out by, the Parachute Association of South Africa, which is approved by the South African Civil Aviation Authority as an Aviation Recreation Organisation. (CAA/ARO/0004). We have been in operation since 1980. Our management and staff are committed to upholding the highest safety standards. All our tandem instructors are internationally qualified and we use only equipment imported from one of the most reputable tandem equipment manufacturers in the USA. Equipment is maintained to the highest standards. We have access to 3 Cessna aircraft and a Turbine Atlas Angel. All skydives are done from 10000ft above ground level.
We provide all operational gear including goggles to wear during the skydive as well as goggles that fit over spectacles.
A branded “Skydive Cape Town” USB flash drive is supplied with the camera option and contains both your HD video and stills pictures. You are able to view your skydive before leaving the airfield.

This is an individual tandem skydiving experience and the configuration of aircraft loads depends on size, weight and available instructors. We will try our best to configure loads to accommodate special requests and/or to keep people together but we cannot guarantee any seating arrangements.
Please allow 2 to 3 hours from arrival time to allow for any possible weather or air traffic control holds.
A tandem jump requires general good health. Age, history of major illness, injuries or operations may exclude participation – ask your doctor if in doubt. You must be able to lift and hold your legs aloft prior to and during the parachute landing.
To ensure a smooth and safe landing, the following maximum weight requirements apply:
Female: 90kg (198lbs/14.17 stone) or less
Male: 100kg (220lbs/15.75 stone) or less
We are committed to providing a safe experience for everyone involved, and these guidelines help us achieve that. Passengers are weighed on arrival to facilitate loading of the aircraft.
Parental consent is required for passengers under the age of 18. A signed letter brought with on the day or an email from the parent/guardian to bookings@skydivecapetown.co.za will suffice. For under 16, a parent/guardian to be in attendance.
There is a minimum weight requirement of 35kg (77lbs/ 5.5 stone)
Wear comfortable clothes, e.g. jeans/pants or shorts and a t-shirt or sweatshirt and well fitting, lace-up type shoes, with no heels, hooks or snag points.
Contact lenses and/or spectacles can be worn as normal. We provide goggles to wear during the skydive including goggles that fit over spectacles.
Please note that you will not be permitted to take any cameras, cell phones or other loose objects in the aircraft or on the skydive.
As a registered National Tour Guide (WC 3215) I was so impressed with the professionalism, quick response, friendly service from the company. From the first phone call to actually doing the Jump. I work at world international hockey events and Mascots are a major part of the teams traveling and tournament equipment. I had brought back a pink lama that was in cape town for a years stay to experience sports an adventure. The company arranged for the mascots to be in the plane during my sky dive. The fact that the company weight people prior to their jump to pair them up with the right instructor was a great professional touch. My instructor was amazing briefing was so precise and he just excelled in a passion for his work and how much the company values the professional approach. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were extremely friendly but gave off such a professional high standard that the company obviously has. At the age of 69 I am also trying to encourage retired people to tick things off their BUCK LIST. This is a must to do. I think the price is very reasonable and the quality of pictures from the experience was amazing. I work from the peninsula all suite hotel sea point.
